Comfort(s) - The Slumping Generation
Writen by François Bellanger - Gérard Laizé - 2005
Shouldn’t we look upon furniture as semi-finished products considering the influence of household appliances with which it has to harmonize? We must remember it is in 1955 that television brought us about comfortable armchairs, sofas or coffee tables to furnish our lounges, allowing each of us to sit comfortably. Multimedia technologies will undoubtedly be part of our every day life as they generate renewals of offers by replacing them with more efficient technologies. And renewing will occur all the more quickly especially as that the new generation has been educated with television and computers. Thus, not only will our homes be more and more technological but we will live more often in a sitting position, a fantastic opportunity for new product development.
